Death Parade [Weekly Must Watch]

After watching a ton of animes with the exact same plot, character types and setting i can say with ease that 'Death Parade' is a breath of fresh air. Death parade revolves around the general idea that people who die at around the same time end up in a mysterious bar, plagued with different games that are being judged by arbiters which will ultimately determine whether or not they end up in heaven or hell. I think this premise sounds interesting enough, finally a new and fresh take on how the afterlife may possibly be like .Now, does Death Parade manage to pull off such a bold and innovative storyline? Yes. Death parade enchants us with stunning artwork comparable to durarara and psychopass, it also boasts a plethora of interesting characters with unique character profiles. Our main characters Decim and Chiyuki are an amazing duo with two differing opinions on how arbiters should go about judging people, this conflict between the two in addition to the antics they come across make for an interesting story filled with both emotional and physical tension between the characters, the supporting cast helps to bind this story together nicely as well with their own individual personalities having time to shine during certain episodes. 10/10
